This was an interesting Television Installation Cromer Northern Beaches Sydney as the customer previously had a Philips plasma tv wall mounted and was now replacing it with a new Sony LCD TV.

Upon inspecting the wall for the required studs we found the wall to be a bit of a mess and upon speaking to the builder he advised us to not touch the wall and leave it as it is.

The previous Philips tv weighed about 43 kg and has been on the wall for about 10 years with no trouble and the new tv is only about 13 kg.   As the customer as adamant to mount the new tv we decided to fix the new bracket onto the existing bracket.

We fixed the power supply to the back of the tv and hid all the cables and Apple TV behind the TV.   The Foxtel IQ1 box, DVD player and Amplifier were located over the other side of the room hidden in a cupboard.

Overall the TV installation turned out well and the customers were very pleased.

As tv’s are getting larger and thinner these days most people want to wall mount their new fancy tv onto the wall.   A common question I get asked is can you explain the difference between the wall brackets.

There are basically 2 types; fixed/tilt and full motion.

Fixed / tilt

This type of bracket is so the tv fits flat to the wall.   They can move up and down about 15 degrees, but not side to side.   The maximum weight for these is about 60 kg.

Full motion

Full motion brackets mean the tv can move up and down the 15 degrees, and moves from left to right.  The distance from the wall ranges from 115mm to 515mm. The maximum TV weight capacity is 60kg.

That TV Guy just did another Television Installation and Wall Mounting Mona Vale Northern Beaches Sydney.   The customer had the 50in Sony LCD TV previously sitting on the tv cabinet and wanted now mounted onto the wall.

The customer had Foxtel IQ2 HD, so we had to run the HDMI cable, power and coax cable through the wall for a neat clean look.

A customer of mine is a website developer and wanted more space on her desk so we thought we would try and mount her LCD monitors.   Instead of mounting them straight on the wall we decided to attached a backing board onto her current desk and attached the LCD monitors to the backing board.

Her current monitors did not have the capability to be mounted so she had to purchases new LCD monitors that had the ability to be mounted.   She also purchased the 2 swivel brackets online for about $30 each.

We drilled holes so all the cables (HMDI and VGA) to be hidden behind the backing board.

Overall I think it turned out well and the customer was very pleased.
