TV installation Mosman Lower North Shore

With this TV installation Mosman Lower North Shore the customer had just finished renovating their home.   They had the tv mounted above the fireplace.   When the tv was not in use it looked like a mirror and when the tv turned on it was just a normal working television – very cool!

The Foxtel Box and DVD player were located on the other side of the room within a cupboard.   They wanted to be able to change the Foxtel channels and operate the DVD player without having to physically go over to the cupboard and change channels etc.   The problem was that the builder ran only one HDMI cable under the house and up behind the tv with no other way of adding extra cables.

To solve the issue we put in an IR extender over HDMI.  This allows us to send the IR signals over the HDMI cable.  A little IR receiver is put on the bottom of the tv and transmitter gets put in front of the Foxtel Box and DVD player.

Thus allowing us to change foxtel channels and overate the dvd player.

It was able to operate the DVD player and Foxtel as we put in a HDMI switch box from Jaycar.

So we were able to solve the customers issue with very little cost.
